Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette Review

If you’re a beauty junkie I’m guessing you know the feeling when you find a product that does exactly what you wanted it to do…it’s wonderful! Sadly enough, not a lot of products live up to marking hype. The Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette is not one of those overhyped products.

The packaging is made of cardboard with a velvet top. The velvet does attract cat hair, but I feel like that just gives it character. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 😉

Regardless of the fur-collecting exterior, the inside houses 14 beautiful matte and shimmer shadows. The quality of the shadows themselves does vary a bit, but not to the point where they are hard to work with or wont give good color payoff. Some of the mattes are so smooth and buttery, it’s amazing!

Despite the fact that the colors and neutrals and berry tones, you can actually create head-turning looks with this palette if you use the shadows correctly. On the other side of the spectrum, there is such a good collection of mattes that it’s really easy to create a barely there look. A perfect combination of colors, if you ask me!
